Throughout the year 2011, Universiti Tun Hussein Onn Malaysia will be celebrating special days of which officially recognised by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) as international days. UNESCO has designated these special days to be celebrated as a global events and a reminder of our achievement as a global community. The UNESCO International Days are days to mark important aspects of human life and history.

There are about 60 days in the calendar year that has been recognised as international days by UNESCO and UTHM has chosen 23 days of which are relevant to the university as an educational institution to promote awareness among university community be it for the students and the staffs alike.

The activities that will be held are for example, awareness exhibitions, knowledge sharing, game and quizzes, treasure hunting and many more. The following table is the days that has been selected by UTHM and the related faculty or centres assigned to handle the event.
